  2. Hi, Nickname carved sword exists,not so many.
  3. Hi, Late Edo period sword. Mei says: "Ecchu-no-kuni ju,Takagawa(or Takakawa) Naritomo,tsukuru kore ". And top 2 kanji is a nickname of this sword, Mikazuki-Maru(crescent moon). 朏丸
  4. Hi, Mei is: Nanto-ju Kanabo Saemon-no-jo Masasada(政定).

  6. Hi, I think it isn't formal Origami of Honami. Issue date is 1951. Is there a seal on the paper back? Smith is Tenryushi Masataka (天龍子 正隆),around Bunkyu period(late Edo era), Ubu-nakago,blade length 1-shaku 0-sun 6-bu(32.1cm).

  11. Hi, Thank you Chris and Joe. Today, I received a illustrated booklet (a illustrated booklet supporting Chris' presentation). Title is [The Kato Smiths of Megro,Tokyo] (Prepared by Chris Bowen for the Japanese Sword Club-Midwest Lecture in Mineapolis,Minesota November 5, 2017). That's a very good reference book about Kato smiths.

  13. Hi, The Tachi-sword presented to Prime Minister Abe last year from president Putin of Russia is exhibited to DTI. Sword smith is Takahashi Nobuhide(高橋信秀),made in 1928. With Efu no Tachi Koshirae.
