Is it real or fake sword questionable tsuba looks really nice!

Recommended Posts

Need better pictures or i will stick with first impression fake.

The  mei seems to be somthing, Hisa Saku. The top part  also appears to stray from under the seppa

Mei is irrelevant, if the tsuba is junk and clearly not Japanese. That is just not a theme or style anyone Japanese would ever do. It is comically bad.
Forget the signature.

Wow...... “暦応” (Ryakuō era, third year) ....some doubts are appropriate here, I guess...  :doubt:

Sorry  ;-)

That’s crystal clear Ray!!!

I merely wanted to express my astonishment, that somebody made the effort, to put a (more or less well made) inscription on this bad fake, that in fact bears a meaning. Ridiculous in this case, but readable......

No more and no less

Drop it like it's hot.

As another newbie - don't buy a sword until you have first seen the real thing live first. Once you have looked at a real one for more then two blinks and paid attention you are able to rule out the vast majority of fakes out there, quality does not lie.

This tsuba is an homage to the WWE's George "The Animal" Steele :)

Haha, good eye! It's totally him!

Just needs to eat a turn buckle and it's complete!

A VERY different, and masterfully done, depiction of them compared to the original comical and un-Japanese one above.
