excellent images Kirill. Personal favourites based on these are the second, first and fith. If I had to choose one I would struggle between   the second and fith

Shows how much the photography and the polish itself changes how we see things.
That said, I would vote #5 if I had one choice. All are sublime.

Sometimes I have fun with myself, as I look at a few photos for 15 minutes and admire the "piece of steel". :laughing:

Matsukawa is amazing

My favorite is blade number 3 (photos 3 and 4)

This has been a very useful thread. I knew the term. I had seen the hada, and understood it as a historical trait. But this presentation opened and clarified it for me. Thanks!

It is very valuable and enjoyable to see photos such as these.

 

Thank you for posting them. These all demonstrate "standing out hada" vs "coarse hada", correct? Is the proper term for this style matsukawa-hada?
