( autres a évaluer...) Christian Quote
christianmalterre Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 si il ne se vends pas..... me donne un message .... il me plait pourtant je me suis adresser a d´autres choses maintenant..... Christian 1 Quote

Vermithrax16 Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 Box is amazing! Will be looking for batch 2. Quote
Bazza Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 As a side note, I don’t know where he got this chess/box Seeing this chess box I really do prefer individual kiribako, no doubt about it. There is quite something about sitting down with friends and pulling out a box without always knowing what lies inside. Part of the mouth-watering joy of anticipation akin to another disrobing mentioned earlier... BaZZa. 2 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 Yes, very nice box. I have something similar, but the whole things comes apart. Would be interested if box alone comes up for sale, Jean. Quote
Jean Posted September 13, 2019 Author Report Posted September 13, 2019 Someone suggested this Box was made to store medals. I think he could be right. 1 Quote
TETSUGENDO Posted September 14, 2019 Report Posted September 14, 2019 Jean, I believe it is a cabinet for commemorative medallions like the ones above, not medals. -S- p.s.-A quite desirable item. 2 Quote

Jean Posted September 14, 2019 Author Report Posted September 14, 2019 SECOND BATCH #7 The writing on it reads "Hachiman Daibatsu" and is a dedication to the God of War often seen in horimono. it is a very hard swordsmith/armor maker type iron, probably an 18th century utsushi of a Momoyama tsuba: 450€ #9. Unsigned Echizen tsuba very good iron €250 #10. Edo signed Katchushi tsuba. (Inaba....) €400 #11. Inappropriately cleaned Mito tsuba. €200 The 2 last ones can be repatinated by Ford for a good price, they are real bargain. Shipment with registered EMS mail + full insurance : 15€ France, 25€ : other countries 2 Quote
TETSUGENDO Posted September 15, 2019 Report Posted September 15, 2019 Despite Englands title as THE premierJapanese art collectors European destination, these offerings remind us to look to France ,the oft overlooked treasure trove. -S- 4 Quote

Pete Klein Posted September 15, 2019 Report Posted September 15, 2019 CC - Looks like that to me and they are in Wakayama. That group used kuchibeni as with this one (bottom one is obviously lost but you can tell by the outline). 3 Quote
Jean Posted September 16, 2019 Author Report Posted September 16, 2019 THIRD BATCH #13 Net Tsuba: mid Akasaka. €250 #14 Hikone/Soten tsuba unsigned, but in very good condition with a dragon in the theme. €500 #15 Nara tsuba: unsigned and a little dirty. These are rather common, though this design is cuter than average. €250 #16 “Yamashiro Kuni Ju, Tada shige . €275 #17 excellent Echizen Ju Kinai saku € 300 #18 - this is a VERY strange one.
