  2. I picked this one up yesterday and as usual struggling with the mei I assume both sides end in a kao but strange to see name mei on both sides It is non magnetic so shakudo? I put the front face on tomorrow All I have is 赤 Aka? Front Rear 光 Aka – Aki 竹 taki (a real stretch of the imagination!

  7. It is difficult to sell a group it is easier selling individual tsuba but then you get left with the ones no one really wants There are two I like

  11. Assuming your tsuba are keepers For mine I cut out holes slightly larger than the tsuba and lined it with felt Took ages!

    New tsuba

    Sukashi is correct but condition and age could be a problem

After their second auction I totted up the total received It was about half the price I paid for them but it was a learning exercise I'll try Bonhams next to see if any sell at a better price I'd be in interested in using someone like Mr Doffin as as another avenue to explore I've told my kids to sell my collection after I'm gone but need to to tell them the options Any other ideas? The tsuba range from £100 to £1500 but the swords are a few thousands
