I'd suggest 桑 - kuwa - mulberry. Possibly a reference to Tanabata festival.

Hi, it doesn't look iron (as far as I know most Tetsugendo tsuba were made in iron)

Hi Vitaly, nice catches. No idea about the meaning of the 乃 kanji, but I suspect some meaning, since I saw it on several tsuba (sometime associated with a monkey). Here below an example in iron, ji-sukashi, attribution to Shōami. The kanteisho of the second tsuba is quite poor in useul informations. Here a tsuba of similar design attributed to Myōchin school.

I second what Jean said. Your tsuba no. 1 shows a decoration in mixed technique: in-sukashi, kin-nunome-zōgan, nikubori and kōsuki-kebori. I'd say a Shōami piece. The flower reproduced in openwork should be kikyō - 桔梗 (Chinese bellflower). The signature in your tsuba no. 2 should be 鈴木寛壽 - Suzuki Kanju.

Anyway the description on the paper just report 笹に巻物の図 - sasa ni makimono no zu (ops, Kyle was faster than me)

A nice kogai, but the hidden cross is not so hidden… Moreover its placement is slightly asymmetrical, and this could be suspicious for a later addition.
