  7. Hi Dan If you contact Professor Peter Bleed at University of Nebraska I'm sure he can assist. I can PM you his email if you like. Any chance to see some photos of said collection?
  8. LOL yes Milt still shows his battle scars each time they sit down for a brew or two, by rolling up his sleeves and showing what happens when you low crawl for fifteen yards. He was also known as head honcho(Merry Prankster) in the squad that took sword show members head shots and placed them on Desert Storm pilfers and looters, not to reflect his political leaning he can be found on the far right.
  9. i think you can find him better here.
  10. one other option is he made more that one like that and signed the best one
  11. it should be for a very good price, you do see the kizu yes?

  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 26_fvi%3D1 the color is from some dingdong grinding the nakago to fit the tsuka, must have been a broken blade.
  14. Drugs? what drugs officer?
  15. Jim I and I'm sure others would like to see the complete koshirae, btw some very good photo work is done here, some background shadow on the kissaki that thru us off path a bit but well done in the photo dept. I have a gut felling that it was done my a modern knife maker, don't think its old, one of the more interesting threads of late, hope you keep us updated. I think Brian has you in the right direction. it brings to mind a old Ken Kesey quote. " The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer."
  16. more pix are in order, full nakago and sugata of the blade, kissaki looks good.
