    OK, ill stick my head above the pillbox. altho i have never studied this smiths work in hand i have a few issues i would like to raise. firstly the nakagos finished like kawamura Kanenage, yet this smith mei reads watanbe Kanenaga. the mei is alarming and incorrect for this smith signed Noshu Seki. i would say it strongly suggests gimei, but OR COULD be a students work as the mei is rough as guts

    The joly books are in my humble opinion. Past there used by date. Better books out there with indepth explanations and real photo's not hand drawn oshigata or mei. So much can be lost in those last to. My 2 cents worth

    The very fact that a KO scabbard is matched to a otsu numerically imho is concering. the sword isnt dated so imho forget placing any value in the number. keep searching for a matched and dated sword in far better example, there are examples numbered under 10,000 out there. the over riding serial numbers cause confusion. so look for dated example, if your lucky you can find examples dated to the month

    everything listed is in bad shape, with poor photos and evan worse desciptions. i was going to look on behalf of a buyer but evan inspections are on request and you must pay for the right. veiwing times are so short its not worth time. 3 mins per item

    no paperwork imho is a issue. oral histoies are affected just like the game chinese whispers

    althought it shows clear hada, small sunagushi.... its still a showato "oilie" the dark peaks give it away regardless of the skill of the togi.. A well polished, well made showato but imho not worth the 350k yen
