  1. hi guys, its big, its afforable ,here some quick pics, nagasa is 72cm hamon is nie based gumone with touches of taron-ba, with some rough kinsuji. with large plots of Yubashiri. hada is a tight itame with a mix of mokume. im thinking its shinshinto but have no time spend researching it. so i dont know the mei, or the tradition of the blade. i just dont have time for it atm. it would be called lower mid, with a gearish hadori, and a average polish. comes with a shirsaya bag and oshigata. Im happy with $2000 USD including postage, world wide with tracking and sign on delivary regards Hamish
  2. i would have said late shinshinto mino
  3. Belgian "like "waffles and Japanese "like " swords. it was more a poke at the english languge as childish fun
  4. nakago looks seki mino ---ish sori ?aybe sue mino??
  5. A Japanese SWORD MADE IN CHINA thats a paradox in its self,
  6. its not Japanese, there for it should be treated with suspicion
  7. We need pics of the blade, ie hada, hamon, overall sori hamachi etc
  8. Could suggest that comparing the mei between father and son. "father" Nobufusa cuts his mei with a cleaner fine, thinner stokes " from my observations". where as "son" Nobufusa appears bolder with fuller and slighty fatter strokes in his mei. also examine the blades tradition, as the 8th worked in yamato, aswell as Bizen.
  9. from the horrific pics, i would guess its a suriage kanbun sword mounted in type 98 mounts
  10. its more than that, the un-natueral apperance of the shinogi at the yokote line, the funny kissaki Ha and the almost flat appearnce of the JI. smells like trout
  11. its all in your mind, its a pre war sward
  12. i personally dont this this piece was evan Born in Japan, let alone being from Kanehide
  13. i agree with jussi, the last time a studied a ko bizen in hand was in Japan, with in the company of Rob and Guido, and the kind owner was selling the sword for approx 150k usd give or take. and that was over 10 years ago
  14. the photos arnt good enough to allow a educated comment
  15. its horrific to watch, no real idea of what it is "marshal sword" im glade they didnt try and handle it
  16. bishu osafune norimitsu, so it koto, most likely SUE period . a typical example of tachi from the later sengoku area. its nice that its ubu but shows a class simular to the sukesada stuff. a few ware in the steel and cousre hada its best apprecated as is. polishing would be a unrecoverable cost
  17. your market is very norrow, and photos are a must be cause fellow aussie based memebers could act as proxies for over seas buyers. BUT no-ones driving interstate without photos first. even average photos will increase the size of the interested parties in involved
  18. that nakago is very very suspect, the patina is to evan for a surigae
  19. hi chris, photos will always help you fetch the highest prices. the US conversion rate is very attractive for sales
