  1. Tametsugu, no words really.
  2. A while back I bought and mounted two sword display cases. As I have changed how I am going to go about nihonto collecting, and both were empty, I transformed one case into a tsuba display case instead. I really like how it turned out. I have an LED light on a flexible stand that allows the whole thing to be lit at an angle, and it makes the tsuba a wonder to look at.
  3. I have pictures of that one saved to my computer. Classic Ishido "dripping glowing embers" choji (I invented calling it that BTW ). Tameyasu, Yasustsuna, and early Yasuhiro show this great aspect as well.
  4. That's a dandy Robert, really love that one. Hope it gets to the next level! Would have loved to see the Tameyasu!
  5. Sent $50 from my sale 2 weeks ago. If any more is needed, I am in.
  6. Great deal, wonderful sword. Wish I could Ray but I think you know why I can't......... add that wife would kill me
  7. Love Marco's shots as is and I had zero idea what Uwe and Ken were talking about......... then I watched the video and really looked at Uwe's comparative pictures above. WOW!!!!! Really blown away at the visual capture there. Great ideas guys.
  8. Bizarre and not being versed in EU law at all, I can't really say anything about it. But on balance, seems a silly trick to try and use Nihonto as a trademark.
  9. I like all rabbit theme pieces, so I am biased
  10. WOW! Excellent work, thanks for posting.
  11. Glad some one bought this one, saves me the decision.
  12. Wish this was my type of tsuba, would buy quality at this level in a second at this price.
  13. I like the 1st one, especially the kissaki work. Excellent deal IMO. I vote Mutsu Kami Kaneyasu (Migi Mutsu) but close second is the Masahiro.
  14. Great points all, glad this generated some discussion.
  15. I highlighted here due to the age of the blade. Always a pleasure to see something this old. The hamchi is about gone, but it has not been moved up over time. I have seen many Nanbokucho era swords with a hamchi notch that looks great, but they were moved up within last 200 years.
  16. Papered to Sueyuki and from 1300 AD! Tired blade but that this sword made it to now is remarkable: http://www.sword-auction.jp/en/content/as17662-%E5%88%80%EF%BC%9A%E6%9C%AB%E8%A1%8C%EF%BC%88%E5%B1%B1%E5%9F%8E%E3%83%BB%E5%B9%B4%E4%BB%A3%E6%B0%B8%E4%BB%81%E9%A0%83%EF%BC%89-katana-sueyuki-0
  17. Welp, I need to stop guessing. Wow, just does not look that era. Good one.
  18. That just does not seem possible! What an amazing job!
  19. That's a great polish IMO, and the turn around time fantastic. One of my reasons for not taking on projects is the multi year project they become. Interesting yours came back that fast.
  20. Makes me sad this is still available. Means folks don't know what they are looking at. Good luck with sale (I am tapped out).
  21. Have not bought from them as yet, but had asked about a blade around a year ago and they were fast to respond and provide all the pictures I asked for. Was a great interaction. John C, I had no idea they offer a polish service. How long did it take can I ask?
  22. The level of detail work is mind blowing. Great pictures Frank.
