    The dreaded "post moving issues" that always accompany a move no doubt. Whenever I have had to move my lab, we plan for a 1 month total of downtime, to cover all the issues that always come up.

    As much as we all would love to keep every piece of nihonto we ever encounter, the time does come for some things to move out, to make room for new things. First time really coming to grips with this, it's a bit harder than I thought it was going to be. Would appreciate any thoughts/advice/counseling ( ) about this from the members. The urge to keep everything is profound.

    Barry, This sounds interactive and thought driving as a process. You are a retired teacher and I am a scientist, so I think we can both appreciate what can be learned when people think out loud without pressure. I really hope this catches on and somehow a New England meeting happens.

    As a huge fan of Ishido school, will take this offline, but what gen Yasuhiro is that? Have seen some mishina blades with kiku mon on the omote. Interesting.

    I thought the Yasuhiro mei would be on the omote side and the kiku mon would be on the ura side.

    Fixed it! Agree, favor leaving well enough alone usually but this example makes me re-think that stance. Well done.

    As I get more and more interested in tsuba, I find myself lacking in reference material, most especially for mei comparisons. Can someone recommend a few avenues that would help me out in this regard? Thanks for any help!
