No problem Tony. Its only my opinion.

I would not rest a sword in a tachi kake. Better is to store it on a normal kake if you want to present the sword.

Great experts in Catawiki. Does anyone know the fools?

I know Sabbah from Facebook he is well trained in nihonto. Maybe its false translated? -
Neil it's allways impressing to look on your swords. The last one is beautifull and i wish i had one of these late ones.

Thats true Jesse, but i'm fascinated to see such quality and details for $30. I would like to see chinese blade e.g. from simon lee fitted with that kind of replics. Such a sword would look good in my opinion.

from chinese producers. Frightning. Tsuba $90 (2 x available) sofecoke sword | eBay Stores Hard Times

I think it's good Bruce that these are so expensive. The market would overflown if they cost $250

Found that picture in google search. The stamp looks similar? From Rich's site is a Tadahiro listet Seki Kaji Tosho 忠広 (Tadahiro) Real Name: 後藤 善三郎 Kato Zenzaburo?
-
It gets more and more interesting. I missed the shadow line above the hamon what is typical for showato. And i think i see the layers of steel and some activity. I don't think its showato. It looks like a nice sword. I didn't find a Tadahiro named Showa Swordsmith in my books. Only the known linage of Tadahiro.

Now its clear.

Oh thanks Tony. Looks not like a seki stamp. What is it? The blade looks older. High shinogi. Maybe you can make better pictures from the hamon in sunlight to see some details. Interesting purchase.
-
where did you see the seki stamp? I didn't found it. The nakago looks not like a typical showa sword.
-
I found these replica selling in a online swordshop in Netherlands. The details are impressing. Who ever made this knows what he doing. Yasukuni Captain's Gunto - japanisches Armee Schwert (samurai-katana-shop.nl) From the same shop

I didn't have use a tag Brian. I only see it. And this sword isn't fake or I'm wrong?
-
Another question why is this thread pinned as FAKE. When you click on the FAKE Pin you see other Threads also pinned a FAKE. I'm a little confused about this.
-
For me its fake

Its a seki sword Bruce that i saw on a auction plattform and i was not sure if it is gendai or not. But its a showa to, presented in very good pictures. Nothing to follow with for me. I saw the blade only on pictures, no mounts.
-
Sorry i cant say nothing to it. For me it looks like stuff from a mad max movie after the apocalypse. I saw only the crude nakago, thats why i ask for.
-
is this a Japanese sword or some late night emergency version of the islands field repair swat team better than new?

I want to mention that the gold of the starter Tsuba in this thread is glued not an inlay. If you heat it up with hot water it is away.

Christian the mass small pictures reminds me on Alien signs on a UFO.

There was on Facebook a thread with pictures were i copied it but it was deleted. No picture of the koiguchi.
