  1. Easy way for the most repros. Look at the nanako punches. Original it was positive. On fakes it is mostly negative.
  2. Beautiful flamboyant hamon.
  3. What blade is that John?
  4. Hi Ed. Its a leather one. It was on the sword so i let it there. I don't know if it was original on it or only decoration but the leather looks old.
  5. I have only one sword with leather cover (i think). Kanbun Norisada in gunto mounts.
  6. 防州住二王清永 This reads for me boshu ju nio kiyonaga
  7. Lex could you tell me more about the swordsmith? I didn't find him. Is the name Kiyoharu correct?
  8. Not Japanese but looks good for a modern martial art sword.
  9. ? I refer to the picture of the thread.
  10. Impossible to judge on that picture. Try to light the blade from angle to see activity.
  11. It looks like it has lost patination after treating. To much shiny cooper now.
  12. It follows the line. Toppei Koshirae
  13. Albert Einstein — 'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.'
  14. Stunning blade with a beautifull Koshirae. That Tsuba alone is a buy. WoW.
  15. If a tsuba contains different metals and sharp lines, it is not a cheap one. Cheap mass soft metal tsuba are mostly painted and blury.
  16. Little less pictures Some pictures more would help. Other side of the tsuka The koiguchi of the saya The kissaki it looks good so far.
  17. That is very sad to hear. He was allways looking for the best quality in collecting Tosogu and Swords and shows us very fine pieces for our pleasure. I hope eternity has the same quality.
  18. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/ninja-swords-banned-by-summer-as-manifesto-commitment-delivered I think they talk about these swords.
  19. Non-traditional seki blade. Nothing wrong with it. Condition is good. Price is good. Why not?
  20. @Bruce Pennington since i know he was starting as a smith 1940. His real name is Toki Akinobu. A swordsmith commissioned by the army in Seki, Gifu Prefecture. He belonged to Seki Swords Co., Ltd. and made swords under the names Niwa Kanenobu, Niwa Kanenobu, Kounobu Kanegami, Murayama Kanetoshi and others. He is a master swordsmith who took second place at the New Japanese Swords Exhibition in 1941 and achieved the rank of Sekiwake (high-ranking swordsmith) in the ranking of sacred swordsmiths.
  21. I would take it too. If Dimitri don't want it.
  22. The hadori is very bling bling but anyway the hamon looks like modern camouflage. This blade could be state of the art in a Dune movie.
