  1. @Scogg Sam i made some pictures. This sword has been looking very good. But fake. This is one of those swords when you have it in hand you notice instead that it is fake. It feels wrong in hand. I think i shown it hear some time ago. It was good for learning holding in hands. I was sending the pictures Bruce i think. Notice the broken screw head because the material is very weak and thin. Look at the seppa and the habaki. Same weak sheet metal. Last part the fake stamps. The look sharp and not blury but fake.
  2. I recently held one of these. They're much lighter than a real one. Everything seems a bit smaller. The habaki weighs less than half as much. The tuska feels far too small in the hand. The sword feels tinny. The seppa are complete rubbish and don't fit at all. They're purely decorative. The screw and the screw head is very weak.
  3. Those badly polished Showa22 blades often hurt my eyes. I don't know who polished that swords for him.

    Beautiful Tsuba

Our dear friend Krystian posted the tsuba on Facebook. It's exactly my taste. Teruaki/Hideaki with Kao. Just a side note. My resemblance to living persons is purely coincidental. I would never claim that the pig resembles anyone.
  5. Robin that gunto picture looks strange? Did you take it? It looks on the picture like that cigar
  6. Bruce you found something new. Cool. I think the smith could be added als RJT smith.
  7. Should be ✰ stamped Bruce. Are they any star stamped blades from him?
  8. Love it Ben. It looks perfect. Very nice. I like the saya too.
  9. +56 Padawan
  10. Easy way for the most repros. Look at the nanako punches. Original it was positive. On fakes it is mostly negative.
  11. Beautiful flamboyant hamon.
  12. What blade is that John?
  13. Hi Ed. Its a leather one. It was on the sword so i let it there. I don't know if it was original on it or only decoration but the leather looks old.
  14. I have only one sword with leather cover (i think). Kanbun Norisada in gunto mounts.
  15. 防州住二王清永 This reads for me boshu ju nio kiyonaga
  16. Lex could you tell me more about the swordsmith? I didn't find him. Is the name Kiyoharu correct?
  17. Not Japanese but looks good for a modern martial art sword.
  18. ? I refer to the picture of the thread.
  19. Impossible to judge on that picture. Try to light the blade from angle to see activity.
  20. It looks like it has lost patination after treating. To much shiny cooper now.
  21. It follows the line. Toppei Koshirae
  22. Albert Einstein — 'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.'
  23. Stunning blade with a beautifull Koshirae. That Tsuba alone is a buy. WoW.
  24. If a tsuba contains different metals and sharp lines, it is not a cheap one. Cheap mass soft metal tsuba are mostly painted and blury.
