It is a very nice sword and a beautifull polish but i think it is not water hardned. All speaks for a non traditional blade in my opinion.

Curious. I never see the screw on this position. The sword looks repaint too and over cleaned.

Japan auction. Type95 with registration paper. We see some Type95 over the time in Japanese auctions. But this is the first one i see with a new registration paper. Did something changed in the law?

Looks like a bad treated and buffed shinto waki. I don't think the neutron tomography is very helpfull to examine a sword. And btw they didn't say it is from ww2. They say its core made like swords from ww2.

Show the whole blade without habaki. This partial details say nothing. The three nakago ana makes no sense on a wartime blade. It indicates often an older blade. In older times the nakago filemarks where used to mark owner for sword and koshirae during assembling.

You can't go with that sword to Japan for polish. Its a showato gunto.

An very well hand forged sword with a interesting hamon and a beautifull mei, new polished and the Koshirae in good condition. A good package! Its a high end showa-to. Hard to find anything better. This shows all the Japanese swordsmith experience with mixed steel and oil hardning.

WIth your first pictures i thought the boshi was heavy reshaped and the hamon runs out. With some light adjust i see that the boshi is ok. I think the waki is ok. A old warrior from Bizen.

The condition of the koshirae looks like 80 years lying in a wet garage or cellar. I bet the blade doesn't look not better.

This seppa is on the wrong side. It must be on the habaki side. The smaller seppa is on the fuchi side. I think it is assambled false.

A strong Yamashiro influence with the typical Kaga nakago. You find that for example on Kiyomitsu blades.

For me the blade looks shortend. The hamon is treated with acid, bad polish. Late muromachi/ early shinto.

The pictures shows a authentic clear fake type 95. It is to less in quality to call it a good replica.

Jacob you sword is so wrong in all parts. It is cheap and sloppy made. The dremeled Kanji are total wrong and nonsense. This is a garbage ugly copy of something that would like a Japanese sword. A $25 wall hanger in a chinese snack bar somewhere in asia. Dig it in your garden. Wait 1.000 years and it will be an ancient artifact.

A perfect Nagamitsu in beautifull Type3 mounts with burlap same. I have a similar one and i love it.

Feng Chu Chan from Longquan made this sword in his first month as swordsmith at the "Traditional Japanese Sword Factory Longquan China, limited Co & Son". They use T12 steel made from the river Tarim which is the same steel as Kublai Khan made his swords from. Btw the company has only made 75000 swords like this. Yours is the number 74916. A real treasure and i would say its worth a lot of money. Because of its unpayable worth you should bring it in a museum. So everyone could see it. Thrust your own thoughts. Everyone wants to steel it from your collection.
