  1. Did you think the sword was sent to china to fit in a new koshirae? Or was the koshirae made in Japan with chinese fake fittings? I have some problemes to handle your thoughts. It's a legt Yasukuni-to with Hozon. And it seems the sword fits in the koshirae.
  2. No Dale its not about you, sorry. But i wonder that no one says that it is trash. All the pieces are not worth to waste time. I think its just a joke or the museum is total uneducated.
  3. Not mine but it's amazing. https://nihontoantiq...vsKkWPUHzHREstaQhcOQ
  4. He shows some addtional pictures. Looks all legit for me. A very stunning koshirae.
  5. Come on. Thats the worst collection i ever noticed. Dale that is trash in my eyes.
  6. That one Ray? Edit: ah no. this is type98
  7. See that today on Facebook. I think thats a very mint Koshirae and a nice sword. The Tassel looks like replica. Other meaning is that the koshirae is a complete replica. What you think? For me it looks amazing. If its fake the quality is amazing.
  8. Many trödel. I wonder what i looked at.
  9. The blade nakago shows a non Japanese swordsmith.
  10. Its a beautifull kozuka.
  11. All 3 are clear fakes
  12. The quality of the fittings are better than the most fake swords. I don't think this sword wan't be a "original" Japanese gunto. The fittings are not coppied from original ones. Someone designed them complete new. I think it is a fantasy deko sword that looks like a Japanese gunto
  13. If you have no other proof i would go with mid Edo.
  14. It is a very nice sword and a beautifull polish but i think it is not water hardned. All speaks for a non traditional blade in my opinion.
  15. Curious. I never see the screw on this position. The sword looks repaint too and over cleaned.
  16. The picture proof. Size don't matter.
  17. If they are registered they are not longer banned.
  18. Japan auction. Type95 with registration paper. We see some Type95 over the time in Japanese auctions. But this is the first one i see with a new registration paper. Did something changed in the law?
  19. Looks like a bad treated and buffed shinto waki. I don't think the neutron tomography is very helpfull to examine a sword. And btw they didn't say it is from ww2. They say its core made like swords from ww2.
  20. Show the whole blade without habaki. This partial details say nothing. The three nakago ana makes no sense on a wartime blade. It indicates often an older blade. In older times the nakago filemarks where used to mark owner for sword and koshirae during assembling.
  21. You can't go with that sword to Japan for polish. Its a showato gunto.
  22. An very well hand forged sword with a interesting hamon and a beautifull mei, new polished and the Koshirae in good condition. A good package! Its a high end showa-to. Hard to find anything better. This shows all the Japanese swordsmith experience with mixed steel and oil hardning.
  23. WIth your first pictures i thought the boshi was heavy reshaped and the hamon runs out. With some light adjust i see that the boshi is ok. I think the waki is ok. A old warrior from Bizen.
  24. The condition of the koshirae looks like 80 years lying in a wet garage or cellar. I bet the blade doesn't look not better.
