    I dont thinks its silver on the nakago. The thicknees of the blade and nakago , tells me that it hasnt been polished a lot or only once when made. IMO, its a gunto blade that rusted.

    Looks like someone used a screwdriver on the fuchi for taken the sword apart. Very poor quality fittings ,looks near like homemade.

    My son backed out a week before the event. Girls.....he is 15 years old. It was some great days for me and my friend and offcourse the audience was so happy ,they could take some photos with the samurais. We where the only ones in replica armor ,the others was more manga and anime / cosplay.

    Samegawa saya, rayskin covered scabbard is a more expensive option than normal lacquer over wood. Not traditionally made blade.

    There is one alike in G & F's book , but this is a classic fake thats been sold on ebay the last 5 years.

    The strap on the handle ,is a lock strap. It has to be mounted on the scabbard and then around tsuka.

    Maybe some sort of trick ,then offer other item. Once I ordred a sword ,it was sold to another customer by other staff
