  2. Theres a photo with a PO with a knot with black strap in the book by G & F. military and civil swords.....
  3. When mounting the ashi :Thin paper inside ashi preventing the scratching. Remove paper. I have used some leather ,fit in size and thickness and ashi is fitting tight.
  4. The stamps on the fuchi is completly wrong. Its a fake sword.

  6. Welcome. I think I have seen that dirk somewhere before. The shape of the nakago and the little mekugi-ana looks weird to me.
  7. These knots are made of metal thread, later silk/cotton. Only info I can give.

  11. Lock was returned to me and shipped again and Thibault has now recived it. Frence postal service was the issue.

  17. I would say blade and mounts is late 1800 to early 1900. The nakago is way off. Tsuba looks like its a replacment.

  19. Wrong scabbard , its for a NCO shingunto. I would stay away.
  20. Its original,,but with a closer look , I saw its missing the wowen crowns on the tassel. So stay away from that. I think You got luck with artswords ,nice to deal with.
  21. The knot and sword belonges together. There was no knot rank system on the navy kyugunto. The green is tarnished silver.
