ChrisW Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 I am glad that on appearance, it does no harm to the tsuba. And it is an interesting way to display; it has my tentative approval! Quote
Oshy Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Need an option to buy and provide your own tsuba though in my opinion Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 They do warn you below that it is not non-destructible, though, with no glass to cover the hands. Quote
Spartancrest Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 I like some of the guards - but the prices are a bit out-there! Do the clocks still have the $2.50 Chinese clock movement? Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted June 4, 2020 Author Report Posted June 4, 2020 You're probably not buying there for their accuracy, Dale. It looks like they've spaced the hands far enough out from the tsuba, so it's unlikely that they'll rub. If they offered the movement without a tsuba, I'd be tempted to buy one. Quote
Steves87 Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 I have seen some of these in person when I visited there little museum last year. They look pretty good in the flesh, but were a bit out of my price range Quote
rkg Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 I've seen this guy selling these before. I think he might do better selling the base and movement as a kit w/o a tsuba in it... rkg (Richard George) 1 Quote
Surfson Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 You must use a Tokei tsuba, I would think. 5 Quote
