Has anyone had experience of buying from these guys?

www.arizonaskiesmeteorites.com

They have a sword I'm interested in.

Thanks

No experiences with them. I do with Sanmei.com and they're something of sister websites of each other. You will perhaps notice the descriptions that are identical, but it is known to Sanmei.

Err ok, so my alarm bells are already going off.

Why would a website in Arizona that deals mostly in fossils be selling Nihonto that are on a different Japanese site?

Well thanks for that, are you a politician? you can't seem to give a straight answer.

If I've offended Brian, I apologise in advance but I had to say it.

As usual, I'll work it all out myself eventually with the help of the stand up guys on this forum.

I did business with Arizona years ago for 2 Gibeon, Namibia meteorites. Top flight operation. I was surprised when I saw that they now sell nihonto swords. They seem to only carry higher end swords at premium prices.

Chill!

No-one did anything to you. Suggest you calm down and see what people are trying to tell you.

There is no problem with this seller. No...they aren't a member here...there have been other meteorite sellers here though, and some say they are well known in that industry.

What part of "up to date on that" was unclear? It means they know about it, and it is sanctioned by them. Hence no controversy there.

Taking offense when none is intended is just counterproductive.

I do! I actually have a couple. I'm a retired science teacher who always bought things to add interest to lessons.

I also have two and backed out of a Mars meteorite purchase opportunity years ago that I regret. As a fellow scientist I like that you appreciate such things Barry!

My wife & I have a dozen meteorites, & I even sent a 2 kg Gibeon to an Okuyama tosho, who used it to make a beautiful katana, tsuba, habaki, & fuchi/kashira - that I can't afford to buy!
