DaveT Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 After months of work we have compiled a glossary of Japanese Armour terms. The glossary can be viewed online via a desktop or smart device. It can also be downloaded as a PDF for you to keep. We hope you enjoy the first of many books and papers that are 100% free. Hosted via ISSUU. The Samurai Armour Glossary 2013 Nihon No Katchu Compiled by Ian Bottomley & David Thatcher 61 Pages Link: http://issuu.com/davethatcher/docs/the_ ... ry_2013_v2 Quote

John A Stuart Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Hi Barry, there is a big green download button that directs you to the download link. Maybe not showing on your browser? It is big. John Quote
b.hennick Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Hi JOhn: I switched to IE and saw the download button - actually it downloaded a toolbar I did not want and then wanted to change my homepage, search engine etc. Still no PDF file. I went through the process several times only to get the same crap. Is there an easy place to get the PDF like yousendit? Quote

Henry Wilson Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 That is a very nice an useful resource. Best of all it is free which is very generous of David and Paul. Thank you very much for providing it. Just as a thought, the inclusion of the kanji for each term would be very useful and interesting for me. Quote

Thank you very much for providing it. Just as a thought, the inclusion of the kanji for each term would be very useful and interesting for me. The inclusion of kanji would be a real asset, unfortunately I don't speak or write Japanese. Ian is more knowledgeable on this matter. If there is a board member who would like to contribute to providing the kanji I will being more than happy to revise the publication. We are currently working on a new armour related publication that will be released in March called the Katchu Digest. Again this will be free to download. Quote
