  3. Imho, not that iv looked lately but I would guess $ 5k to $8k Usd depending on the tosho, and pre or post 1940 will play a small part
  4. price range??
  5. Morning Curran, yes i can see it in australia
  6. there very lucky either way, i can only hope thie NMB helped connect the new owner to the sale
  7. i think your comment is abit flippant dave, have a closer look. both parts are made from the same metal, with the same age and patina the addition lines up exactly with the inter section of the saya to fit the habaki. EXACTLY there is NO sign of solder, screws or glue or file marks, showing a good amount of professional work involved the locking latch is un touched by a file. as to when and who did it ?? no idea. im not a fan of the type 95. think there boring and over priced but I think it deserves to be posted for the type 95 fans. far more interesting then a boring minty or those massively over priced early copper handled versions
  8. theres a old saying "whats expensive today, is cheap tomorrow" i think you would be very hard pressed to find 1 in that condition for a long time.
  9. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Minty-Pre-WW2-1883-Naval-KyuGunto-Japanese-Officers-Samurai-Sword-Tadayoshi/264079731183 the old ebay switch-aroo
  10. ebay listed but rather nice and very close to minty. as to the mei. no idea but lovely to look at and has classy mounts https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Japanese-ARMY-NCO-TYPE-95-COMBAT-SWORD-ORIGINAL-KOKURA-ARSENAL-GIFU/392194422341?hash=item5b509bf645:g:~F0AAOSw5qJcFYLD
  11. Hi guys interesting nco's gunto, with a very cool koiguchi. https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Japanese-ARMY-NCO-TYPE-95-COMBAT-SWORD-ORIGINAL-KOKURA-ARSENAL-GIFU/392194422341?hash=item5b509bf645:g:~F0AAOSw5qJcFYLD
  12. 100% genuine shingunto. blade IMHO looks older then shinshinto. I think with the the saki-zori and heavy appearance its late koto. but what would I know " I talk out my ass " according to some
  13. Well I got bid-sniped and missed out. Sold for $63 usd
  14. by the spelling, I assume your referring to this sword
  15. they would be 10000000% better i would have thought. off the top of my head there were only 25 made. PS beer in hand.
  16. maybe hes just confirming the kuril islands answer. but seriously, would it be a gimei
  17. I'm bidding, and because i think they would be an interesting yet limited study aid. Also the tsuba look very pleasing and because I have a interest in both Alaska and nishigaki I have put $10 per paper
  18. I really made my comment about being remounted because the tsuba and seppa appear filled and mismatched. Not the fact that it's in navy mounts. I had a Kotani yasunori years ago that came to me in rough navy mounts
  19. hi guys the rare navy mounted yasukuni-to. just sharing, but IMHO its been remounted for sale to whities https://www.aoijapan.com/katanayasunori-shoawa14nen9gatu-hi/
  20. very educational clip, thankyou very much.
  21. real, but either sandblasted bead blasted. then I would say lighty buffed or metal polished.
  22. It Could be modern, it could be another nations armed forces tassel perhaps.
