  7. Good luck with forming a club. I would start off with 3-4 meetings a year and see how it works. 12 presentations is a lot. Our club in Toronto has about that number sometimes more. People are away both winter and summer. Snowy weather makes travel difficult.

  9. At the auction at the Tampa show there was a full ivory tusk for sale with a reserve of $3000. No bidders. The same seller had many ivroy/horn pieces for sale (Knife making). So it is close to home and not abstract.

  11. Awataguchi Hisakuni is an excellent Smith. The hozon paper confirms the mei. Have you ever seen one for sale? All the others are common compared to this one. It may be the most expensive one. Note all are within 5% So a hozon blade id's as expensive as 3 juto and a potential yusaku blade.
