Fuuten Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Isn't that a kantei quiz? It is, however this one was quite easy:) Quote
Pete Klein Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 But the title of the thread is, 'Another Muramasa For Sale'. Quote
Brian Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I think their kantei's always go for sale after the exercise. Or am I wrong? Quote
Jean Posted November 6, 2015 Author Report Posted November 6, 2015 At 95% Brian Beware some never go for sale, Tsuruta san receives from time to time offers he can't decline Quote
Pete Klein Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 That would make sense I suppose. Being a fittings collector I have hardly ever looked at those kantei so I have no reference for them being available for sale. I wouldn't mind having the one linked above however! LOL Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I think their kantei's always go for sale after the exercise. Or am I wrong? Jean is correct, they may all be intended for sale but some never make it through the week's kantei period. One of the early swords he had for kantei was a tanto that was clearly a Norishige. I called him two days in and there were already a queue of customers for that sword. Best, Ray Quote
Gakusee Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Back in July the price was 4-4.5m yen for it. I wonder why he took so long to put it forward. I have viewed it in hand and it is a wonderful little thing. Michael 1 Quote
Jean Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 http://www.aoijapan.com/appraisal-quiz-362 Tsuruta san must be waiting for offers, taking into account his last sentence Quote
Guido Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Tsuruta san must be waiting for offers, taking into account his last sentence He often adds the "we recommend this xxx" to items for sale when he thinks he's offering something for a reasonable price (but not neccesarily cheaply). Actually you might be eligible for a discount from him, considering how often you promote his website here . 1 Quote
