  1. I had no idea about the shill bidding. I know he uses steel wool or something on the blades that have rust which is a big No No.. I got few blades from him. No complaints so far. J.
  2. It wasn't an invitation 🤣! Focus on the blades discussed, not me! 🤐 J.
  3. I was talking about a car, not a driving license. I do drag racing every now and then. Don't worry about what kind of name is Dark-con - none of your business either way. And finally - I think it's time for you to sit on that broomstick and brush yourself off out of here. 95% of what you have written so far is garbage. Not to mention how many folks you've pissed off already .. J.
  4. Was it a GT-R? Hehe This thread went kaboomzies.. J.
  5. Hello, It is amazing... that you are even asking 😏 I love what I see. Cheers J.
  6. This has got to be Shodai signature. Correct me if I'm wrong.. J.
  7. I agree with Ray, definitely Not shodai otherwise everything else looks good including the sayagaki unless the blade doesn't match. J.
  8. IMHO missing horn accents. If you find any residue of glue in each side of shirasaya 's ends , you'd know! J.
  9. +1 I'm glad everyone is fine. Looking forward to SF. Cheers J.
  10. In the decades owned there has been no unwanted developments, however I appreciate the suggestion J.
  11. I do it on active, red rust and only from time to time on older blades. I use my fingers to apply as I don't want to alter anything as it is. If using cloth I'd probably dampen gently rather than anything else. Johnny
  12. Never seen fake NBTHK papers with Number, photo and stamp. Hopefully that never happens again as it once fid before. Looks legit to my amateur eyes. Cheers J.
  13. Agreed. I once mentioned that I have been trying to convince US Customs about the same issue - no progress. It's been over 17 yrs now.. Still nothing 🤔 I'm sure they are much more concerned with other imports.. Yet, here we are.. sucks for our dear forumite or anyone that has to be subjected to extra headaches besides all the sleepless nights waiting for a blade to show up.. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🙏 Cheers J.
  14. I doubt this made any difference. From what I've read, everything was properly described when got in customs.. It's got to be something else.. J.
  15. Terrible to say the least. I hope that you either get them or they return them to the sellers (rather than have customs seize them), if no other options are available. by the way I hear similar stuff from other countries also.. you saved us a ton of trouble with this thread as we were going to auction the majority of our collections with my friend.. that would have been a DISASTER! UGH.. Cheers 🍻 J.
  16. Well.. im def puzzled... J. 🤷‍♂️
  17. Hello Hard to distinguish in this photo. I, personally, have never seen such kind of 'thing' on an authentic Japanese blade. Cheers J.
  18. Drink, don't think 🤣 🥳 J.
  19. Tengu1957, Please keep on showing your collection and hopefully more details of the blades as I'm sure all would appreciate and hopefully these lyrical deviations appear as shallow as they are! Cheers. J.
  20. While everything mentioned above is righteous I'd still be in the same spot as my fellow forumite. Going all in just like in the casino. I only need to win once right? 🥳 P.S. I'd like to say thanks to all of your insight folks! Cheers J.
  21. Folks that spend that sort of money are not in the blind IMHO. J.
  22. I know how you feel! These dont just pop up randomly, yikes. Sorry man. I would have entered the bidding war to win or help out with the purchase price should have I known about it, honestly. Looks legit to my currently foggy eyes. J.
