  1. im going to go straight to the hamon ahahhahaha, wrong. way to thick construction is always Hira zukuri. not kanmaru Otoshi for the nihonto taren kai and the old chalk/powder filled mei is a tactic used to cover a fresh mei. and the metal is lifeless, like elon musks personality. never a chance in a snowballs hell that this "new: tanto was ever shoshin.

Weather it be smiths, collecters, dealers connoisseurs etc. But im a firm believer in the opinions of togishi as to what a masterpiece is. As for who else, in this world but a togi has ever had such insight into what IS or ISNT a masterpiece

  4. The brass/bronze cast tsuka is the biggest issue. They where never made in this material

  7. i have had direct dealings with him, and know 2 peaple that have had both restoration survices provided and purchased from him. hence my lack of faith in this dealer
  8. Look at the tsuka and seppa guys. Its not original. Deliberately modified meguki and punched in seppa to make a a pre 44 pattern blade fit just for financial purposes

  15. jim has always been hard to contact. as im currantly aware hes still in the land of the living. but honestly your trying to swim up a waterfall with this one. unless your a decentant to the original owner you might have trouble making headways, as collectors are always guarded of there " my prescious" what other covert must be worth more
