  1. You guys in the US have a stronger market and therefore more buyers. Australia is different, very different. Smaller buying group. And i cant see Mark wanting the hassle of selling internationally
  2. Not to speak meanly, but Otto's prices have always been on the fantasticly high side. Imho a non traditional blade in good mounts. 2500-3200 aud. Thr surate looks added on, the patina and wear doesnt match. So the tassel is equally suspect to the originality to the sword
  3. Andrew doesn't polish any old sword. And i can't speak on his behalf but hes has decline jobs on condition of blades. Remember he gets paid the same to polish masterpieces compared ordinary unknown smith..

  8. your wire is just plain sold wire, almost electronical wire in construction. the typical wire you find on kyu tsuka is elaberate in its construction, like a piano wire being and the centre wire is normally a 3 wire type
  9. Personal thoughts just on the blade Repro
  10. The wire isn't original. So its possible that it was done in the field or evan post war, at the very best. But the wood isnt a good shape. Theres good points and suspect points. Its boarder line for me.

  15. Cracking is slang for good. The smiths from the yasukuni shrine school aka Nihonto taren kai are know for superior gendai. Hamon, hada, overall shape. Being earlish is should have a koto appearance
