  5. I'm a little shoked now. He wants 1200 EUR.
  6. It's difficult. Brian you are right 52 cm. It's a wakizashi. With the Koshirae it's maybe for a tank comander or a pilot. Kissaki is damaged. Hamon is not to see anymore. It must be polished. was it a good smith? What you think about the price?
  7. I need help. This sword is for offer. Koshirae is mixed with gunto parts. I think it is a gendaito sword.
  8. I don't know if i have a high class gunto. I love my little collection. Smith: Akihisa (RJT), Naotane, Yoshiharu, Kanenori, Kanesumi.
  9. I find that type 3 swords very nice. Searching for a good one
  10. Maybe we can say full traditionell with tamahagene and traditionell. What is when the smith uses not only tamahagene? Or he use a maschine hammer? And what is it when an ancient smith don't use tamahagene, but nails and other waste metals? Could be crazy sometimes.

  13. Thank you Brian. I thought without stamp it could be gendaito? I didn't find out which Sadamitsu has made this. There are a lot of smiths called sadamitsu. What is the fair price for a showa-to late '44 gunto?
  14. I'm interested in a late 44 gunto. Can you help me translate this from picture? There is no mark and no stamp on the nakago. It's offered for around 1.000 Dollar.

  17. Or maybe some kind of lizzard? i tryed to make a better photo. If you go with the finger over it, it feels a little bit sharp.
  18. I didn't know if it helps. I have a Kane Nori. The Mon was removed i think. The same is - i didn't know. Maybe canvas, shark, celluloid?
  19. In untrained hands the best sword will be ruined. Japanese swords are totaly different from european swords. Many of the Japanese Soldiers didn't know how to handle thier swords in combat, like ancient samurai. In the hand of a well trained swordsman, the cheapest type 95 gunto was a deadly weapon every day in the war. So i didn't can follow the article. Thanks for the link.
  20. Thank you all for your advice and help. I made a experience and stop that deal with help from ebay germany. Happy new year. Chris
  21. Thank you for helping and clearing the view. To buying not over ebay or other auctions is difficult because there are so less gunto available. Brain thank you for the link to the other swords. But i like gunto swords because they are interesting for me. Maybe we have a different look on the same thing. Only the sword in Shirasaya is not very attractive for me to have a look on. For a real nihonto collector this is maybe not important.
  22. yes is from them. Do you think is a crime?
