My tsuba (JJ-0011 & a Higo, Yasanori) arrived today and as usual they are better in hand than the seeing the images Extremely well packed by an excellent seller Good luck with the rest of your sales as there are still some very nice tsuba for sale

Samegawa on my swords has multisided edges which are quite well defined rather than dome shaped

Very well laid out and nice tsuba You have to be quick as as a few had already sold but I have PM'ed an enquiry about two of them I don't expect a quick reply as something as big as this takes a lot of sorting out.

I have saved the micro cross section but have enhanced, resized and removed the 'ghosting' on the background. Not sure if it is of any use but have added it below:

It depends how it was described. As a present it's hard to tell her the truth. If it didn't cost too much I just say I loved it I've seen worse copies Just think how many wives have had to put up with kitchen utensils and that underwear that you were sure they would love!!!

Hi William Buying on the NMB is advised and save money on books at the same especially if for some else If you fancy one PM the seller and ask all the questions and if satisfied go ahead I haven't heard of a sword mis-described on the NMB but I suppose there are exceptions and genuine fakes I would expect anyone fraudulently selling items the would be removed ASAP If a seller adds a note to his item that states he wishes no comments then I would be wary. It still may be kosher but would raise some doubt to me personally

The spacers (seppa) are not difficult to make by using a thicker plate. Loads of info on the internet I had to make a couple and this made a big difference
