Spartancrest Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 This is not my area at all but I thought to share this very strange "sales pitch" for a blade that has drawn human blood - very recent blood by the look! https://www.jauce.com/auction/t1194607685 That looks like about twelve stiches to me! Quote
Hokke Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 I hope it was a pitch for a price reduction and not a price increase since stupidity has no value 1 2 Quote
Toki Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Now why would you add that as an argument to buy it. How do you even accidentally cut your calf when unsheathing a blade? Quote
Lewis B Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 I thought it was the inside of the forearm but after checking the listing seller says it was the calf. Who handles their blades in bed. Just asking for trouble. tbh he probably got away lightly. Could have got the Bobbit treatment. Not a Muramasa is it? 3 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Back of the calf, above the knee? The eye of Sauron? 5 Quote
Hokke Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 I kinda assumed that picture was taken right after some nitwit said "hey, wanna see something cool, watch this". 1 1 2 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted August 1 Report Posted August 1 This sellers sales tactics are really a cut above the rest.... 2 4 Quote
ChrisW Posted August 1 Report Posted August 1 I think this seller is cutting himself off at the knees by trying this as a sales tactic. 3 Quote
Cola Posted August 2 Report Posted August 2 Does anyone know what happened to the blade used to assassinate Inejiro Asanuma? A replica Rai Kunitoshi wakizashi, according to wikipedia. Or is that too soon? Quote
Mister Gunto Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 Somebody watched a Samurai film and decided that they could swing their sword around too. FAFO Quote

2devnul Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 How about getting random wound picture, adding it to offer with a nicely made up story, counting that there people that will consider this as a plus for the sword. BTW, you will never believe what people can do. I saw an accident at my Dojo, where a young boy 'earned' 4 stiches while using Iaito ... How? Well, he took a big swing and stabbed himself behind back, with Kissaki (still pointy, even on dull Iaito) in calf (seems they are a nice target). 1 1 Quote
Mister Gunto Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 They say "Stupidity should be painful." And you know, sometimes it is! 1 Quote
Sansei Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 TRUE cutting test would add to the value of the blade.....which THIS one is obviously NOT. True cutting tests were done on bodies of executed prisoners and other cadavers. This guy is alive although maybe brain dead? 1 Quote
