Foletta Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 I have found a shortened sword with a very wild Choji Juka Hamon its now 53cm long . Is this Hamon in the style of the ichimonji school? Out of polish but is very bright and wild Thanks Quote
DoTanuki yokai Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Nah, its actually dirt but this is just my opinion. 1 1 Quote

Brian Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Had one like that. Could go anywhere. Likely Mino. Everything goes Mino... 1 1 1 Quote
16k Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Let’s call it an "Ichimonji dirt Hamon!" Quote
Surfson Posted January 28, 2021 Report Posted January 28, 2021 Looks to me like the type of "crab claw" shapes that you get in later Bizen blades. Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 Try taking a photo of the nioiguchi, if visible through all the crud. Doesn't look like ichimonji. Quote
Surfson Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 If this sword were mine, I would try some acetone with a soft cloth on it. That dark color may be from old cosmoline or some other kind of grease that was put on it to preserve it. If so, you might find a very attractive blade underneath. 1 Quote
