Sought Info On Masayuki Tachi Sale?

I am contributing an oshigata of Masayuki tachi (kiyomaro) that Dr. Compton bought  in 1977. I would like to know if it was included in his auction catalogue, and if so, want did it fetch?

I believe you are referring to the Masayuki which Tsuruta-san (aoijapan.com) purchased in 1992 at auction for $242,000.

 

Edit: I've updated this comment with the pages from Compton auction 1. And yes, the blade sold well over 10x the low estimate.

Ray, that's quite something. I knew of another Kiyomaro, or may have been  Kotetsu, that brought  $450,000 found by Lightner?  It was gemei. Thank you very, very much for the info.

Try one of these. A width of about 1000 pixels max is usually more than enough.

Tom,
You can't. Why would you? Then everyone is going to do that and the forum would look a mess. I prefer people do not use all capitals and just write regular topics. Everyone who loads the forum sees any new topics anyways.
Perhaps someone can pm you and talk you through resizing images.
