lonely panet Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 ebay listed but rather nice and very close to minty. as to the mei. no idea but lovely to look at and has classy mounts https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Japanese-ARMY-NCO-TYPE-95-COMBAT-SWORD-ORIGINAL-KOKURA-ARSENAL-GIFU/392194422341?hash=item5b509bf645:g:~F0AAOSw5qJcFYLD Quote
Brian Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Dunno where you were trying to link to, but that is not navy, and isn't a Kyu-Gunto Quote
vajo Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Looks like a NCO-Gunto for me in that link? Quote

Brian Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 That is stunning. Gimei or not, it's a fine sword. Wanting a Kyu Gunto for aaages, if I had the money I would consider it. Mind you, the seller seems to know Nihonto, so I expect the mei has been looked at before.Wonder why no bare blade pics? Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Clearly a Hizen-To regardless of Mei and an almost flawless example of a fine blade in Navy Kyu Gunto mounts. Quote
Stephen Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Seller is our long time member Brandon Reed, we talked about when first posted, he priced it to keep it...lol. I can see why. His other swords are nicely priced i think. 3 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 I’ve been wanting one with a real war blade too. Guess I’m not a “serious collector!” Ha! Quote
reeder Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Thanks for the kind words. I don’t list OBO but I’m open to offers on anything I have listed if anyone is interested. PM me if there’s something you like and want to make an offer. I have some other swords I haven’t gotten around to listing including a Type 3 star stamped by Kanenori (metal saya), and another type 98 by Nagamitsu in the cleanest mounts I’ve come across and blade almost looks as if the polish was never completed. In terms of pics, I’m too stupid to figure out how to add more pictures in the description and my photography skills are seriously lacking. ???? 2 Quote
lonely panet Posted December 28, 2018 Author Report Posted December 28, 2018 theres a old saying "whats expensive today, is cheap tomorrow" i think you would be very hard pressed to find 1 in that condition for a long time. 2 Quote
