Michael 67 Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 what do you think, Nihonto or Fake? Quote
Alex A Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 I lean towards nihonto with a dodgy polish. Is that oil residue on the blade?. Koshirae makes me suspicious. Quote
paulb Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 I am curious as to why you think this is a fake? The papers I dont know about, they look like old green or blue NBTHK papers which have certainly been faked in the past. But if you are asking whether the sword is a Japanese made blade then I can see no immediate reason to doubt it. 1 Quote
Ray Singer Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 Looks like a legitimate sword. Appears to have Tokubetsu Kicho and sayagaki (Kanzan?) attributing the sword to Nobukuni Yoshimasa. Best regards, Ray Quote
Tokaido Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 Hello Michael, if one thing is certain on earth, besides death and taxes, than that you NEVER EVER will get the pictured sword from that seller for the indicated price http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=5890822 Greetings Andreas Quote
Stephen Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 Real sword scam auction background looks like this seller, no time to search items http://cmmilitaryantiques.com/search.php?pcat=3 Quote
Michael 67 Posted March 25, 2016 Author Report Posted March 25, 2016 Fake sales from China. Thanks for your opinion.. Sooooo Bad Quote
Jean Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Michael, The question you posted was wrong, it is a real Nihonto. You have 105 posts by now, it is time to grow up and gives your opinion of a blade if it is real or fake Next time you post a new topic, what would we like to see is the following: "This looks like a real Nihonto, the seller is Chinese, is there a trap and where?" You must absolutely see the real things. As was saying Paul, what makes you think it is a fake? It looks perfectly real, sayagaki and kanteisho included. Quote
drbvac Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 The point Jean is making is that the pictures are of a real sword but you can almost bet the one you receive after paying will not be the same one. He probably stole the pics from another site 2 Quote
