  1. Believe what you want. I dont personally care. I would never buy the one in question. And yes, I was not referring to Fords Utsushi as cast, clearly.
  2. They don’t. Those are mass market cast pieces
  3. https://sword-auction.com/ja/product/26326/as24386-ken-gassan-sadakatsu-august-1938nbthk-tokubetsu-hozon-token/ Interesting work
  4. Sage counsel from Jake
  5. its back! https://www.jauce.com/auction/d1179697499
  6. 6 Juyo swords, impressive!
  7. Deleted, was looking at Mantis Dude post
  8. Awaiting the attribution and era query posts (AKA what did i buy?) on the FB pages
  9. Hard to argue with Kyle on the above!
  10. I was watching that set too @Mantis dude - I wasnt sure how commonly different types of metals (Yamagane for the cricket and shakudo for the mantis) were used for a paired set and was doing research on that. Looks like they are indeed meant to be together - congrats!
  11. Terrible. Papered to “Mino”. If that’s worthy of preservation, than anything is.
  12. Phenomenal But no papers? https://www.jauce.com/auction/r1176607108
  13. Interesting how this one is apparently setup for a boys sword? What are the indentations above and below the nakago-ana for? https://www.jauce.com/auction/m1176213553
  14. Great to hear Stephen!
  15. I havent seen this on a nakago before, anyone know what it is and the history of the application? https://www.jauce.com/auction/h1174332059
  16. Seconded, its a roll of the dice. Shinsa team reminds me of this
  17. My all time favorite
  18. To each their own of course. Very few have been satisfied with NTHK attributions of late. Plenty to read on that here in the forums. Hence my query for why you would bother. Good luck on your quest.
  19. Perhaps. Maybe pertinent to submit two times at two different shinsa. If the results differ, submit a third time. Continue to submit until reaching concordance.
  20. no chance IMO since its Gimei
  21. I personally wouldn't waste my time with NTHK. You have enough research on this thread to reasonably inform you of what you have. More knowledge on this thread than NTHK to be sure. What will their "opinion" tell you that you dont already know?
  22. Im back from the dead to applaud you Colin. Look for the Tagane Ato near the Hitsu Ana. Always the same pattern. Nanako size, Suzuki is always larger than good quality ones. Cheap pained on gold guilding for Suzuki. Often the seppa dai coloration is not the same color as the Shakudo nanako. Cheers
