  2. Dear Chris I've seen to much crappy, in connection with the jap. sword and we collectors with a little experience have a moral responsibility, to support newcomers in my opinion....! Especially here on the board,any support should be an asset for newcomers! If you put that into question, please do not answer in the previous way!! Thank you very much!   6. Hi Neil very nice sword! congrats! that is really rare, a Yasukuni to with Aluminum saya! there is a Yasushige here with Aluminium saya in germany, but of rarer find!
  7. oh sorry !! My mistake, Chris shows Minatogawa shrine swords, these are a little rarer than Yasunkuni to, so he can be even more happy to have some in his collection!!!! Congrat's Chris!
  8. Hi guys I'm surprised, how many Kudan-to are shown here by a collector named Chris here from Germany. Are these all his?? He's a lucky man!!! attached one of relatively large number of letters from Yasunori to me,I had very good contacts with Yasunori 'til his passing away on march 2003 and own some of his swords. Got some nice gifts from him, as shown here a piece of Tamamhagane from Yasukuni jinja from his active time there and a poured cherry blossom, which I appericate very much!! Please read the informativ letter from Yasunori on the subject of Ka Mon....

  10. there are no ordinary seppa in this koshirae. there is only one, leather made like a seppa, that lies between saya and handle, as can be found in european edged weapons

    Steve great find! very thick tsuba, '94 pattern shin gunto, is the Kabuto Gane pinned ? Perhaps you can send some close up pictures from blade and koshirae?

I also own a beautiful Tsuguhira Katana shodai The end of the Nakago looks "Iriyamagata" shape,which is typical for the first generation, fujishiro ranked him Jo saku, Hawley 60 points, sharpness "wazamono" student of Sandai Echizen Yasutsugu Kanbun to Enpo periode 1661-1673
  17. Hi Guys Got recently a very nice D-Guard sword, early Meiji Periode which has a long, (two hand Hands) Handle. The D-Guard bow has a solid/ integrated fuchi.....! It looks like, it was made from one piece....very costly Can give someone give me more information? Most unusual. Thank you in Advance!!
