    John after my research, these Tanto went to particularly succsessful gratuates of Navi high shool as reward... after hori Toshihide become to ill in 1943 This Tanto seems in original polish, also of the blades long Ubu ha, I'm not sure if the shirasaya and the habaki is its original?
