Ammad has owned a real true gendaito in nice conditions. Be proud of it Ammad and care of it for the next generations of sword lovers. Its a very good investment for the future. The worth rise from every year to year.

I was looking in the topic about the store. Now that. 😢 RIP Another well known name is gone. Thats sad.

Take a good choji or camelia oil. You can mix both. Some drops of choji in camelia give a nice and decent smell. I would not take any machine or weapon oil for the sword.
-
Michael you made a good deal with that sword. Don't touch it with a bad treatment. Leave it as it is and give it a good care to the next 80 years.... Don't play around with that sword - sharp or not it is not important.
-
Its, a rinji seishiki koshirae. The quality of the koshirae is above that for showa-to swords so like Brian said we could expect a Gendaito blade in it. Be carefull with the sword and avoid any damage or bad threatment.

Very tastefull i like it.

Any idea about the boshi damage? Is this a rust blister? Forging flaw, bad treatment, welding signs or something else. -

Edit i found it. Thanks. The only thing what refers me from purchasing it is the boshi. I cant figure out what that is. looks like a cracked windscreen. -
The condition of the sword is very good. Nice leather sheet and mountings. Blade looks good for me. The only problem with showa22 is that all of his swords get that terrible polish which look like brighten with acid.

Shodai Kawashima Tadayoshi Gendaito Hozon - Kai Gunto for review

David born in 1929 and died in 1989 is not meant the life of the smith. It s the period they work. In this case the Showa Period. -
real show us the whole sword.

Can we move the pictures to the Type 95 fake thread?
-
Thanks a lot all for helping.
-
I tried to see the stamps better. Could it be a very good fake? The seller seems to be a collector of western sabers and the Type95 is very cheap.
-
I got these Type95 offered. The stamps looks like ok but the blade no. looks very low and clean? What you think? Is this a good one I'm not really sure.
-
They look like cast iron?

Mine is blade no. 4177 with no screw. Saya no. 1530 -------- In the case of that FB sword. I had the guess that sword had no screw first and was later added? It is made very professional and you see no differences in the patination with niage of the copper.

Steve it is rare because it is a late war sword from a good smith. Nice sword.
