  1. A perfect Nagamitsu in beautifull Type3 mounts with burlap same. I have a similar one and i love it.
  2. You're on to something big. Don't let yourself be put off
  3. Looks fake to me.
  4. Feng Chu Chan from Longquan made this sword in his first month as swordsmith at the "Traditional Japanese Sword Factory Longquan China, limited Co & Son". They use T12 steel made from the river Tarim which is the same steel as Kublai Khan made his swords from. Btw the company has only made 75000 swords like this. Yours is the number 74916. A real treasure and i would say its worth a lot of money. Because of its unpayable worth you should bring it in a museum. So everyone could see it. Thrust your own thoughts. Everyone wants to steel it from your collection.
  5. Textbook nagamitsu mei.
  6. Some things look good, some are bad. I dont like the lower part of the tsuka. The upper part is perfect. The seppa looks lower quality. As Bruce notice the over stamp of the fuchi is curious. Overall i think the sword is legit.
  7. Beautifull Tsuba Jimi. The guy in front of him looks like Lional Ritchie 😃

    A small line to kitsch
  9. https://www.collecto...ria.com/contact.html Looks like he has some hosting problems There is a phone number? Did you try to call him?
  10. this is what fine cloisonne should look like.
  11. Looks for me like a classy naginata-naoshi katana. I think the yokote is slightly visible. Very nice blade.
  12. Type3 Nothing else. When someone wrotes nlf i allways think he has no clue. The other terms like RS are total strange and sounds odd.
  13. Sori is a process of hardning. A blade hardned in water gets more sori than in oil. It also depends on the layer construction of the blade. I think your sword has a sori of 0,9 cm which is in the normal range.
  14. The sword looks older than shin shinto. You should upload bigger pictures they are very tiny.
  15. Shôsai & kaô Takigawa Shôsai from Kôfu
  16. Same motif, different in details.
  17. Its old i think maybe late edo. I think it is a museum mark or made by the owner.
  18. I think seki Kanehisa is correct

    Tsuba display

I store all my stuff in a tansu and didn't show it. This is for me very exciting because i forget after a while what i have. So when i look on my collection I'm very happy about the new pieces never seen before.
  20. If you look for a decent model wait. There are so much Type95 out there. No time for hurry. The sword looks re-paint in my eyes. There are some black saya type95 reportet. But this doesn't look authentic colored. It looks like sloopy buba painted.
  21. Very good Sam. Talented.
  22. The sword is real. The condition of the blade is nice. But i didn't like the black painted saya with that silverish koiguchi. The sarute is missing.
  23. Say what you want but its a hell nice sword when you love ara nie.
  24. The Type3 Gendai Koshirae was the most timeless sword outfit ever made. It's so damend iconic like a Porsche 911.
  25. You find also some of his entrys on Facebook with the google picture search yuhindo.com Some sites are complete with all the pictures. https://web.archive..../hoshizukiyo-kencho/ But overall its now more an archeological task to bring back all his work. Its a great loss that we lose him. I often think on him.
