  7. Hi, :D The line drawing of Honjo Masamune is an old rolled book which I possess. Just two years ago, I visited Washington D.C from Japan, and visited to The Library of Congress with Mr.Stephen Thorpe. We perused many rolls of line drawings of swords in a reading room. :D (I saw another line drawing of Honjo Masamune in there.) I think that 30 or more long rolls(line drawings of Japanese swords) exist in The Library of Congress. A thesis will be able to be written if someone studies these rolls. Someone should challenge it.

  11. Although Kanjis of the Zoku mark were not formal, people generally used it at the old time. I used [Nan-Ji Tai-Kan]難字大鑑 as a reference book. :D
  12. JacquesD is right. This swordsmith appears on [Tosho Zenshu] Page 614. His family name was Takeuchi. RJT smith.
  13. Hi, Last Kanji means "stamp" 印 Inuidani or Kenya ia a family name or place name. 乾谷造印 So this stamp means "Made by(in) Inuidani/Kenya".

  19. Hi, Thanks runagmc. :D This my oshigata was not drawing by Sekkaboku-black-wax. This Oshigata was printed with painted black-ink to the Nakago(tang) directly, like a Hanga print.(Old technique of Oshigata). :D
  20. Original Tomecho was written with the brush. Attached pic is a Tomecho published before the earthquake.

  22. This is a soejo paper that i have. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12870&p=110564&hilit=soejo#p110564 And, Do you know the meaning of Tomecho?  留帳 The original Tomecho was burned down according to the fire for the earthquake in 1923. However, a part of Tomecho was published before the earthquake.
