  4. Hi Ted san, I borrowed this book[shizuoka Meito Monogatari] from the public library in Shizuoka via public library in my local town.(attached pic). As a research of Shimada school, I think that [Research of sword smiths in three provins-- Suruga,Totomi,Izu] is more better than [shizuoka Meito Monogatari] .

  10. Hi, I got another soejo-paper at the end of last year. This is an early type of soejo-paper. Written by Honami Kozan(光山) in early Edo period,his soejo-paper is extremely rare! On this paper,he estimated a shortened wakizashi of Kongo-Hyoe as 1.5-big gold coin(15 Ryo).
  11. When i visited The Library of Congress in WashingtonD.C. three years ago,I noticed a stamp on a scroll of the line-drawing of swords(attached pic). Recently ,I got to know that this stamp was Shingu Kogenta's stamp(新宮小源太) famous as an author of [shochu koto meikan](掌中古刀銘鑑)/(雲智明集) in lata Edo period. Shingu Kogenta's pen name was Issaishi 一斎子 ,and Chimei 智明.Furthermore, he was also calling himself Mokuami(木阿弥) as family name.

  14. Hi, An exact title is "Shizuoka-ken meito monogatari"(The tale of noted sword in Shizuoka Prefecture) (静岡県名刀ものがたり),Author: Matsushita Shoji/Seiji (松下 正爾),64 page all. Does the book include somethimg special contents?

  18. Hi, This original oshigata is Osoraku-type Wakizashi made by Tegarayama Masashige in Bunka period(1814). Blade length 1-shaku 2-sun 8-bu (15.2 inch). From the point of Wakizashi untill Yokote line is 9.5inch. From Yokote line untill Mune-machi is 5.7 inch.

  20. Hi, Left inscription says: " One of three ordered(sword) from Kazusa,Yamasaki,Iwayama." I am guessing that this sword is a order made sword(3 swords) from three persons. Kazusa,Yamasaki,Iwayama are family name.
