  7. Ford, I would have PM'd this, but, I thought others would be interested as well. What is the best way to install Sekigane, particularly on soft metal Tsuba that can not be scratched or hammered on much? I have one that needs to be done and if I can do it competently would prefer not sending it out of country. Thanks, John
  8. I love copper, but, that iron version is even better. The carving slightly more detailed and crisp. Very nice carving. John

  15. The only modern era fork I remember like that is for olives, or pickles I guess. There are museum pieces similar when forks were just becoming fashionable. 1500 or so. John

  20. OK, it would be great to see one mounted. I had always thought of them as stand alone presentation pieces, gifts. I have one made by Tsunehiro that has such a beautiful Saya/ Koshirae that it would be a shame to mount it at all. john

  23. I don't believe O-kogatana and their attendant Kozuka were ever part of koshirae. They were stand alone knives. John
