The last dated sword of Kenzo Kotani in the Second World War.

Hello, I am looking for the last known dated sword of Kenzo Kotani in the Second World War, signed as Yasunori and Takenori.

Over the years, I have found three swords, all dated Showa 20 (1945) January.

I was short of time when I posted that.  Here's the link to @markc's post: Gunto Mei Help Please.  It's an iteresting blade - star-stamped, and the mei is "Kasuga Workshop, made by Yasunori.  I only have 2 star-stamped blades with a shop name as part of the mei, this one and a "Fumitada", and both are May 1945.  Neither smith is listed on the RJT list.  Not too surprising, as the list was from 1943.  These two smiths could have been certified after that year.

I see, but this is signed by 義則, Yoshinori.

These are both earlier than the date you're looking for, but have you seen the 1937 Kotani Yasunori posted by Slough, page 190?  Also, @reeder has a May 1940 for sale.  Posted HERE and HERE.

However, the signature and dating of the right sword looks suspicious...

The link is dead, but the metadata still exists in Google for a Takenori sword dated March 1945. It's not great evidence. Just crumbs.

Google search has become a real drag to use lately. When searching for sword or tosogu items, I get one or two useable results, and the rest are scam accounts who are somehow able to spoof authentic (or authentic-sounding) URLs. Sorry for the off-topic rant, but I really wish Google would clean up their search engine.

Ahhhh, Steve, a hint of trouble in google's camp.  I've been having trouble with google for quite some time and thought it might be a 'local' problem, i.e., me!!  Or Microsoft wanting to promote Bing.  i note that some google searches default to Bing, and others wind up at a dead end of "That site is unavailable at present".  Others wind up at "air..." something.  Sorry now I don't have a dossier of issues, but more then interesting to read your comment.

The one from aoi is mine and I noticed that the mei was thicker than other of his mei and very unusual so I was surprised. 

The one is very similar. 

Here's a comparison from left to right : Mine dated October 1936 - The one from Twitter dated February 1937 -  Usual mei (thinner) dated July 1936 (sanmei)

Sword made by Yasunori [May 1934] there are some diferences becouse yours was made by nephew [name "Yasunori" Kenzo recieved in 1935] of main smith also Yasunori [Kajiyama]
