16k Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 ... man, I envy you, that’s a beautiful sight! Quote
Mister Gunto Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 Beautiful, and a nice bo-hi on this one. Do you have any photos of the nakago? Quote
Curran Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 Omiya Bizen. Absolutely lovely. Beautiful feel to them. I've long been a fittings collector, but the one sword I have here on the kake is Omiya (Oei) Bizen Morokage, in sashikomi. This Morikage is uncle or granduncle to mine. The kesho throws me a bit, but I bet the jigane is probably hypnotic to the eye as you travel up or down the blade. (-- added a picture of Omiya jigane c. Oei period, late Nambokuchu or early Muromachi) Quote
Japan2112 Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 Very nice blades, those Omiya. My fav is Morishige for his hamon exuberence but Morokage and Morikage are great too. Quote
