We've seen some 'hail in rain' designs before, but I thought I'd post this one, found on a late-war T98 on ebay

Habaki on recent purchase.  2 piece silver foil. Maybe clouds & rain?

If you hold the sword in correct orientation (i.e. tip-upwards), it would be more like rain and puddles on the road.

Posting for discussion's sake.  I've been imagining this style pattern as representing a stone wall, but this one makes me wonder.  strange for a wall shape, unless the artist just ran with the idea and modified it to enhance beauty.  Posted by @Nazar HERE.
