vajo Posted April 26, 2016 Report Posted April 26, 2016 Hello, today i was looking to buy a mumei wakizashi from a friend. We talk about the price and my friend show me nearby a katana wich he bought few days before from a sports colleague. Now we fight about the swordsmith. I say Naonobu, he said Masafune. Maybe the signature is gimei, but it is a nice sword and maybe older than edo. He paid 850 EUR (what a lucky guy) What you think the mei reads? Iv'e get some drink's when i'm right, but no discount on the mumei waki which i want to buy *haha. Best regards Chris Its really not easy to see something on the mei. Sorry for the topic headline i want to write Naonobu. (Swords, swords, everywhere..) Quote
Shugyosha Posted April 26, 2016 Report Posted April 26, 2016 Sushi Ju Masahiro? Bloody autocorrect - "Soshu" - but I'm on my phone so it's not too clear. Tang looks like it has a bit of Soshu about it. Definitely worth the money. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted April 26, 2016 Report Posted April 26, 2016 I agree - I see Masahiro as well Quote
christianmalterre Posted April 26, 2016 Report Posted April 26, 2016 Masahiro is maybe a correct way to see it ? i but do just very wonder ? WHY this blade still circles around ? vajo Posted April 27, 2016 Author Report Posted April 27, 2016 I understand. It should be better to blend Karls e.g. Christians Informations out, because they are nonsense. :-) Quote
Brian Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 Christian seems to know the sword, know the seller, and is trying to hint you should skip this one.Suggest you listen to him, or at least make further enquiries via pm. His hinting at education before purchasing clearly means this sword is not everything it is claimed? Quote
vajo Posted April 27, 2016 Author Report Posted April 27, 2016 This sword was bought by my friend, as i wrote. I'm not the owner. I was interested in reading the signature. I didn't know why christian is making a mystique about that blade? My friend bought it for 850 EUR. So, if christian knows anything he can wrote something. But, I did not think that someone will surprised about what he have to say. I belive that christian want only make some "ramba zamba", not more. Quote
