  1. Kurt, congratulations on both a Great Wife and a Great blade. You are a very lucky person. Place this blade in a place where you can enjoy it every day while thinking about the wife that you have to enjoy it with. I hope you and your wife stay as happy as you are today for the rest of your life. MikeR

If I had to choose from the picture, for me it would definitely be #3. If I had the option to look at them in hand I might make a different pick. Maybe not though, I really like #3 MikeR
  4. 71. I have been a military collector for 60 years but only started to concentrate on Nihonto only 15 years ago. Don’t know how that figures into your average but have been very lucky in finding Great Friends in this new and exciting field MikeR

  14. Hello all. Just wanted to post some pictures of a Type 98 Gunto Wakizashi that I acquired recently. It very closely resembles one that I already own that was recently papered at the Orlando Shinsa. Hope you enjoy. Also a translation of the smith would be greatly appreciated. MikeR
  15. Hello all. Please see the pictures of the Same Army that I recently acquired. This is the way I received and even though it came with a Generals tassel that looks like it’s been together it’s whole life, I am not calling this a Generals Sword as I have no documentation. It does have a nice MON AND THE SAYA is in great shape. I am looking for some help on the blade and I will also post it in the translation section if I need to. Thank you in advance and hope you enjoy MikeR
