The navy sword has no hand guard& add the shoulder strap ,very interesting.

That's the only 2 photos I saw/have,and I didn't know the owner.I think it's more like standard 98 but has MNR logo.

Yes,Can't be sure what's the last two Kanji .I think 試切or試刀 kind of make sense.But also could be other character，like 武力。。。

Sometimes they use haystack or dead pig for test cutting,but if it really cut over 100 human bodies(Dead or alive) ,then this sword must be Ominous。

Agree with Brandon,Chinese collectors are the reason NCO's and Mantetsu sword price went up.But now,China's economy start to slow down,and people don't have that much money to spend on their hobby,plus Chinese buyers bought enough Japanese sword from US and Japan pass decade ,the market is saturated. Can't blame Trump on the sword price. Well,it's good for us collectors now!I think only the mint NCO deserve $1000-1200 instead of $1500-1800.For the copper handle,I think $2000-2500 is fair.Unless it's mint or very low number,then $3000-4000 is acceptable.
