    I'm like you George know very little about tosogu, more than enough to get me into trouble, I do like the simple style. Koichi we can always count on you for in depth clarity. Hai Domo! This is the rest of the package and i feel the tsuba goes quite well with the F/K maybe not so much the kozuka but it works. this may come up for sale soon check the For Sale thread in the next week or so.

    Steve IMO money better spent would be on Nihonto not showato...which it still is. heres your pix so others can see it....that was a very large file very close.

    your lucky you only paid 80$ we have had them (new buyers of so called Japanese swords) put down 800$ ouch!...you have a wall hanger that you can tell your friends a good story. BTW we request...er make that a rule per signup ...to sign each post with a real name. no nicknames no fantasy names. you can put that in your user profile so you dont have to type it each time.     tip dont get stars in you eyes if you have a stamped blade with great activity,,,it will get bumped at any shinsa. 99.9999% of the time its just showato. maybe add a few more nines.

    Yes stop the red rust, lightly, no hard rubbing. If its thick bubbling rust tap it with something thats not metal. Ive see top togi do this so not to worry.
