    The paul chen / hanwei swords is still not Japanese quality ,far from. They all got a far to long tsuka and wrong shape. *(got a bayonet mounted , so its really long)* like my **** :D Thanks for the duel The lowest katana is modern handmade koshirae with fittings with sakura in real gold.

    I have bourght a tanto from showa22 ,that looked good in photos ,but was a put together. Restored badly. Didnt return it ,but sold it here in DK. Told buyer the issues. He liked it anyway. About that ebay is a shark infestet area ,thats true . But 2 years ago I bourght a shinsakuto in perfect condition for 89 usd , made buy Mukansa smith Ogawa Kanekuni(father).So its not impossible to survive :D

    Nice blade and koshirae, but I dont like the added leather/carboard seppas. It sure looks like it got all original seppas meant for it.

    The navy dirks has full wrap on the handle and easy to see the seam cus it shrinks over time. Full wrap same is on tsuka is better quality.

    Ogawa Kanekuni was a war smith and made swords until 26 nov. 2012.

    Heres a photo I got from 1920-30's with officers and kyuguntos with combat leather cover. They all have sharp blades mounted ,old and ones made in the time for the mounts. Its only the parade edition that has blunt edge. There is often some on ebay and they are normaly cheaper that the shinguntos. Maybe cus the european look. I collect the navy ones. They have a nice look and where introduced near at the same time.

    Offcourse it was used in battle. It was the type used by the army and navy back then.

    Sure the first is stolen from Ohmura-san site , but the other guntos where are they from? Its clear to se that they are fakes ,but to me it looks like some of the best fakes. Where are they to buy? Dont think the scammer has them.
